Annual Flower Show and Afternoon Tea

   Our Annual Garden Club Flower Show and Tea is planned for our members and junior entries. We have an Accredited Judge Nancy Denlinger from the OAGC (Ohio Association of Garden Clubs, Inc.) to not only judge our entries, but to discuss our entries and instruct on artistic design and form. A Formal Tea follows for fellowship and enjoyment of the Club members.

TO DO LIST

Pinch back fall-blooming perennials until the 4th of July.
First blossoms on squash, pumpkin and cucumbers will drop without setting fruit; nothing to worry about.
Prune flowering shrubs after blooming
Continue adding to and turning compost.

ROSES
Timeline and Life of a rose...

They don’t have to be annuals!

Join an experienced rose grower, Mark Weber, at the home of Ellen Comley to learn which Vintage rose can thrive in the Germantown area.
Soil conditioning and testing, pruning and winterizing of roses will also be covered.
“Dejeuner au Jardin”
(lunch in the garden)
Everything will be casual, with most members seated at a patio table with a plate made from their favorite carry-in luncheon entrée and/or dessert.

Ellen Comley and Sue Kozarec will provide beverages and the members will bring a covered dish and/or dessert to be shared.
