Garden club to hold plant sale April 28-29
 
The Twin Creek Garden Club of Germantown will be holding their annual plant sale on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 at the depot in Veterans Park.

April 20, 2006 - Germantown, OH.

 

The Twin Creek Garden Club of Germantown will be holding their annual plant sale on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 at the depot in Veterans Park.

 

The club plants and cares for many planting projects in the community. They will be selling herbs, flowering baskets, annuals and perennials. Many of these plants will be from member's garden's.

 

The sale will be open from 9 am. to 6 pm. Friday and from 9 am. to 4 pm. on Saturday.

 

 This years committe members are Georgia Marinelli, Debbie Simpkins, Bonnie Nesslage and Sheila Metcalf.

Twin Creek Garden Club of Germantown met April 13 for a trip to Cox Arboretum.

 

Members and guests met with Yvonne Dunphe, adult education supervisor at Cox. She gave  tour of the arboretum green houses and discussed plant propagation. The arboretum is currently getting ready fort their annula plant sale.

 

Members were then free to tour the arboretum and its beautiful spring flowering.

Note: Lunch was held after the tour at The Old Country Buffet on  Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. A short program meeting was held after the meal. A good time was had by all.
