Harvest winter squash when the ground spot changes from a white to a cream or gold color.
Ripen green tomatoes indoors as frost threatens; check often and discard rotting fruit.
In the fall, mound soil from another part of the garden around the base of the rose for additonal protection from the cold.
Plant limited area cool season lawns of blends of bluegrass by seeding and sodding

The festival has been held each year since 1980 and features handcrafts, food and entertainment, live music and shows. The park is handicapped accessible with

sidewalks.

 

 Our booth will sell mums again this year. Proceeds from the sale will go to offset the plants and club expenses.

New to pond gardening? Join us for this special event at the home of club member Kathy Reamy 8871 Lower-Miamisburg Rd. Germantown, OH 45327 (937) 855-2770. Kathy has hand dug her own pond for plants and aquatic wild life on her 4 acre family farm complete with and old barn & horses.

 We will have lunch and take a dip in the POOL after she shows us her pond, water gardens, outdoor plants and fish.
